Alberta Cell Therapy Manufacturing (ACTM) is a go-to resource for efficiently translating cell-based therapies from bench to bedside in a cost effective manner while meeting quality assurance and international regulatory requirements.  ACTM will offer services in both pre-clinical and clinical areas of product development.


Alberta Cell Therapy Manufacturing first became a reality in 2009 when ACTM's Scientific Director, Dr. Greg Korbutt, received 26.2 million dollars in funding from the Canada Foundation for InnovationAlberta Enterprise and Advanced Education and the University of Alberta. ACTM is the only facility of its kind in Western Canada and offers its services to researchers and industry worldwide.

Facility Use

Researchers and industry can gain access to this multifunctional facility on a fee for service basis.  The facility is designed with six segregated clean rooms allowing simultaneous production of six different products.  Our facility team will provide GMP training and assistance with your GMP protocols.
